Autumn in the Macedon Ranges is a wonderful time of year. As the heat of Summer relents, our desire to seek comfort in what we eat and drink is burgeoning.
We have decided to embrace the changing of the seasons, with all its beautiful Autumnal produce, and the cooling of the nights, with a focus on all things French.
No-one quite does comfort food like the French.
We are excited to bring you this menu of French classics and inspired dishes for the next 3 months, utilising the best local produce we can source, and from neighbouring regions.
So sit back, rug up, gather some good dining companions, and feed the senses and the soul.

For twenty years, our friend Frank Camorra has been quietly teaching Melbourne how to eat Spanish food.
From Thursday 10th July—Sunday 3rd August, the award-winning chef will depart a little from his signature MOVIDA style to create something more intimate – a menu that explores the soul of Spanish home cooking using Macedon Ranges produce at Piper Street Wine Company for a residency.
Cocina Casera – the name of the our Spanish pop-up with Frank literally translates as ‘home cooking’ — where the recipes have been passed down through touch and taste.
We’ve put together a hyper-focussed Spanish wine list that will no doubt be a wonderful exploration into Spain’s many interesting and diverse regions and perhaps try some varietals you’ve never heard of.
You’ll see Frank here during service and we’re keeping our usual hours — Thursday dinners, Friday and Saturday for both lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch with a Paella set menu.
Frank’s Spanish pop-up is only here for a short time — to ensure you don’t miss out — bookings are essential.
